Teaching Behavioral Expectations
To maintain consistency, the school team develops lesson plans for each area in the building that is listed on the matrix. The lesson plans are used throughout the year to reinforce and reteach expected behaviors. Students are taken to areas in the building where an adult uses the lesson plan to teach, model, and give practice time for the students. The adult gives feedback to the students on their performance during the lesson to alleviate any misrules students may exhibit. Teachers use teaching strategies that incorporate monitoring, pre-correction, and re-teaching.
